Don Bowen, the broker owner here at Arrow Real Estate, a "master" who has over 45 years experience in residential sales, commercial sales, commercial development and real estate investment. He knows the "art of the deal" and figures out how to make it work for buyers and sellers. He had his own company with offices in San Diego and La Jolla, CA. He marketed properties for many lending institutions and developers. He and his wife, Toni, moved to Montana to set up the sales and marketing of a premiere subdivision, Sun West Ranch. They purchased FNI Real Estate from Jess Armitage in 1996 and changed the name to Arrow Real Estate. ("Bowen Arrow" - a subtle connection).
Don has been awarded the Accredited Buyer’s Representation (ABR®) designation by the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council. (REBAC) of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR).
He was required to successfully complete a comprehensive course in buyer representation and an elective course focusing on a buyer representation specialty, both in addition to submitting documentation verifying professional experience.
Toni Bowen, associate broker, has a background in systems analysis and administration. Formerly, she was a professional organizer, setting up systems and procedures for small businesses. She applies her organizing skills to maintaining the office and keeping the real estate transactions on track. Toni's 10 years of experience in land and residential sales have allowed her to be a leading producer of real estate sales in the Madison Valley.
Both Don and Toni love the valley and have been very involved in the community. They work as a team to provide the very best in professional real estate service to their clients and customers. She is not a "salesman," she is a "matchmaker."

Jay Willett, associate broker, is a great "people person" with fish & wildlife management and education degrees plus over 30 years experience as a teacher, athletic director and principal in our local Ennis high school. Jay has special insight into helping both longtime residents and newcomers satisfy their real estate needs, while at the same time preserving, as much as possible, the pristine qualities of the beautiful Madison Valley. He knows the Madison Valley backwards and forwards – he can get you to the right place. Plus he owns Apex Property Management and can help you with all your rental and management needs, as well.
Karen Swedman, associate broker, was born and raised in Southern California, graduated from Humboldt State University and worked for years in the mortgage banking industry following college. She moved to the Madison Valley in 1987 in search of all that Ennis has to offer – fly fishing, spectacular scenery and all around great personal enjoyment. She has owned and operated the historic Madison theater in Ennis since 2002.
Karen worked for many years with the Ennis School District and as a social worker, so her roots run deep in the community. She is also on the Board of the Food Bank and has served on the Ennis Planning Board for many years. Karen contributes to the real estate community, as well, serving on the Madison Beaverhead Board of Realtors for 5 years as Secretary/Treasurer, Vice President, President and now Past President. As a broker associate with Arrow Real Estate, she is committed to serving her clients and the community with integrity and enthusiasm. With many years experience in all aspects of real estate, Karen looks forward to assisting clients in meeting their real estate goals and pursuing their Montana dreams – just as she found hers.
